1. Chicago Dogs (52-40, 1st in East)

Here come the Dogs. Chicago has miraculously taken over the top spot in the East thanks to a nine-game win streak, including sweeps of eastern rivals Lake Country and Gary. The offense has been scorching hot, scoring at least five runs in their last eight games including 10 and 17-run outbursts. Josh Altmann and Ben Livorsi each hit three home runs in the past week to lead the way. The Dogs also did all this damage on the road and now get to enjoy being home for the rest of the way, welcoming in Gary and Sioux City as they hope to hold off Milwaukee.
